Description
In this resource the students themselves become the manipulatives exploring different concepts across all 5 strands of the Math Curriculum. Activities act as a great compliment to your math class offering students a different way to look at concepts, build divergent thinking and spatial reasoning skills. This differentiated instruction tool engages multiple types of learners, promotes problem solving and is a perfect way to get movement, DPA and social/emotional learning methods into your Math block while remaining on task.
And a great cross-curricular addition to your H&PE program Phys Ed teachers!
Grades and Expectations: We tell you what grade and curriculum expectation each activity it is geared towards, though most are adaptable to younger and older grades as well. For intermediate students, the activities can be a fun "minds ons" or introductions to your units, while also providing a different way to look at previously learned concepts.
