These activities promote physical activity, develop physical literacy, movement competencies and the 3 living skills (personal skills, interpersonal skills, critical and creative thinking skills). There is no real choreography! Each activity is set to a different music style, using a wide variety of fundamental movement skills, and gross motor skills (BODY), creative problem solving and decision making (BRAIN), personal expression and healthy peer interactions (BEING).
Activities can be one offs, or you can do a few in a row for warm ups, cool downs, or how ever you see fit! It's totally up to you! Either use the videos provided and participate with your students, or become the facilitator yourself using the PDFs, Videos and Music to help you!
(Body and Brain and Being Cues are also inline with Dance Curriculum expectations).
Ages: Many of the activities are suitable for all ages. We specify ones that are more appropriate for certain age groups.
"The Activities are set up to permit maximum repetition of movement in an ever changing environment with almost no time pressure or peer pressure - optimal conditions for the brain to learn how to orchestrate movement" - Dr Dean Kriellaars, Ph.D CEP
